Grand View men's basketball players Nathan Washington (Houston, Texas) and Jjuan Hadnot (Beaumont, Texas) have been named NAIA Division 1 All Americans for the 2016-2017 season.

Juniors Washington and Hadnot were both named Honorable Mention All Americans for their efforts this past season leading the Vikings to a 20-11 record overall and 18-8 in the Heart of America Conference which was good enough for 2nd place. Grand View earned a birth to the NAIA Division 1 men's basketball National Championship where they lost in the first round to Pikeville out of Kentucky.

Washington averaged 14.0 points per game this season while pulling down 4.2 rebounds per game. Nate shot 41.6% from the floor and 33.6% from three. He shot a career high 127 free throws on the year where he connected a team high 81.9% of the time. Six times this season Washington scored at least 20 points with a season high 29 points against Clarke College back in earl November. Washington was also named a 1st Team All-Conference performer by the Heart of America Conference.

Hadnot averaged 15.1 points per game on the season while leading the team in rebounds per game at 7.5. Hadnot shot 49% from the field while shooting 13-37 from distance. Jjuan took a team high 159 free throw attempts on the year shooting 67% from the charity stripe. Six times Hadnot scored at least 20 points with his season high 27 coming at Baker University late in the year. Hadnot was also named a 1st Team All- Conference player by the Heart of America Conference.
