Women's Soccer - Thu, Mar. 23, 2017

Des Moines, Iowa- The Grand View women's soccer program is pleased to announce the addition of Haley Waseskuk, daughter of Chad and Sara Waseskuk, to the 2017-18 roster. Waseskuk played for Valley High School where she was under the coaching of Rob Chapman. She was a 4-year defensive mid letter winner.

To go along with lettering four years, she has achieved many different honors both academically and in soccer. Waseskuk was part of the Olympic Development Program for 5 years, a National Semi-finalist on the 98' ODP team in 2015 and was also the captain of her high school soccer team her senior year. Her academic honors consisted of lettering academically all four years of high school.

Head coach Ventsi Stoimirov is excited about Waseskuk's commitment, "I am delighted to have Haley as part of our program this fall. Haley's commitment to technical development and passion for playing the beautiful game are remarkable and her reward for the work she has put in over the years has and will continue to pay dividends on the field. Haley is a highly skilled payer who can successfully take on opponents on a dribble and deliver quality, well time and weighted crosses in the box. She plays with her head up and has the vison to slide a clever reverse pass to a teammate behind the opponent's back line. Haley hates loosing with passion and she has the ability and confidence to score goals from long range or finish chances in the box when her team needs her to step up. I believe Haley will make quick and successful transition to college soccer."
