Emily Wagner (Casey, Iowa) placed 8th right behind Lyndie after rounds of 101 and 86 for a 187 and Alexis Owen (Adel, Iowa) finished tied for 11th place with a 206.

"We were a little rusty and the weather was brutal but we can take a lot of positives from this first event. It is always good to win. This will really help us define the areas we need to focus on as we prepare for the rest of the spring season," said Head Coach Chris Winkel following the win.

The Vikings will next compete in the Primm Battle out in Las Vegas March 18-20. Check back with for continued women's golf coverage and follow the Vikings on social media for the most up to date information.
