Myles Pfingsten (T 4th) led the Vikings in their 9th place finish at the Shootout in San Antonio.

The 9th ranked Grand View Vikings men's golf team recently competed in the Shootout in San Antonio held at TPC San Antonio Oaks this past Sunday and Monday placing 9th out of 13 teams.

#1 Oklahoma City won the three round tournament shooting a five over par 869 team total. #2 Texas Wesleyan finished second shooting an 870 and #5 Wayland Baptist (Tex.) rounded out the top three with an 872. #9 Grand View shot a three round total of 896 in their ninth place finish.

Individually, Myles Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) finished in a tie for fourth place shooting a three round total of two under par 214 after rounds of 72, 73 and 69. Mitch Pfingsten (Fairmont, Minn.) shot an eight over par 224 after rounds of 75, 73 and 76. Hunter Van Veen (Monroe, Iowa) was not far behind shooting a three round total of 228 after scores of 74, 78 and 76.

Dan Bredernitz (Mapleton, Ill.) finished tied for 57th with a score of 234 and Drew Slings (Ankeny, Iowa) shot a 237 which was good enough for a tie for 61st place.
