The 24th ranked Grand View Vikings who finished the regular season in 2nd place in the difficult Heart of America Conference earning them an automatic bid to the NAIA Division 1 National Tournament have been recognized with five players being named to All-Conference teams.

Juniors Jjuan Hadnot (Beaumont, Texas) and Nathan Washington (Houston, Texas) were both named 1st Team All-Conference selections. Hadnot averaged 15.2 points per game in conference play and led the Vikings with 7.8 rebounds per game. Washington averaged 15.9 points per game while pulling down 4.6 rebounds per game.

Senior point guard Chase Mullen (Friendswood, Texas) was named a 2nd Team All-Conference performer after averaging 16.2 points per game. Mullen led the Vikings with 4.9 assists per game as well. Both seniors Kerry Green (Missouri City, Texas) and Alex Welsch (Fontanelle, Iowa) were named Honorable Mentioned All-Conference performers for their efforts. Green averaged 16.1 points per game in conference play while Welsch averaged 7.2 points per game and was 2nd in the conference with 55 blocks.

The Vikings, 20-9 overall, finished conference play 18-8 and in a three way tie for 2nd place but held each tiebreaker over both Benedictine and Mt. Mercy.

Grand View, the #2 seed in the upcoming Heart of America Conference Tournament, will host the winner of #7 Central Methodist vs #10 Missouri Valley on Thursday at 7 PM in Sisam Arena. Check back with for a complete recap and follow the Vikings on social media for in game updates.
