KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Heart of America Athletic Conference is giving its fans a chance to compete head-to-head on social media with the inaugural Heart Mascot Challenge, which is scheduled to take place Feb. 8-14 through the league's social media platforms.
Fans will be able to vote for their favorite mascot on the conference's Facebook page and Instagram page. An image of each mascot will be posted on each of those platforms on Wednesday, February 8. A vote will be cast for each 'Like' for the photo of each mascot. All fans can vote once on each platform through their respective accounts. Votes will be counted through Tuesday, February 14 at 12 p.m.
The top two vote-getters will earn a place in the inaugural NAIA-SIDA Mascot Challenge. Thirty-two mascots will take part in the national challenge, which will take place on Twitter. The NAIA-SIDA bracket will be released on Wednesday, March 1 at 5 p.m., and the first round poll will begin on Saturday, March 4 at 12 p.m.
