Des Moines, Iowa- Grand View Football Head Coach and Waterloo native, Mike Woodley, is proud to announce the addition of offensive lineman Ben Russell and linebacker Russell Jones both of Waterloo, IA to the roster.

Ben Russell is a 6'2, 285 lb. offensive linemen transfer from Ellsworth Community College where he played under the coaching of Jesse Montalto and Adam Dutcher. The Ellsworth Community College football team won its third straight Graphic Edge Bowl title in dominating fashion with a score of 55-32 over Rochester Community & Technical College on Sunday, Dec. 4. During his career at Ellsworth Russell was named 1st team Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) All-Conference, 2nd Team ICCAC All-Academic and ECC Offensive Player of the year. Russell intends to study criminal justice while attending Grand View.

Russell Jones is a 5'11, 210 lb. linebacker from Iowa Western Community College where he played for Scott Strohmeier. The IWCC Reivers went 10-2 in 2015, claiming the Graphic Edge Bowl Championship vs Georgia Military 20-6. During his time at IWCC Jones earned MFC 1st Team All-Conference in 2015. Jones maintained a 3.0 GPA while attending IWCC and intends to major in education while attending Grand View.
