Des Moines, Iowa- Grand View women's bowling has been ranked No.4 in the first NCBCA team poll of the 2016-2017 season. There will be three more this season with the remaining polls being conducted in January, March and April.

The Vikings finished the fall semester with a No. 1 finish at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa earlier this month. The program was taken over by Melody and Keith Felton at the beginning of the season where they have generated large success in just a few months.

College Bowling announced the rankings for the first 12 weeks of the 20 week season. The Grand View women are ranked No. 8 out of 120 teams in the College Bowling Ranking. The rankings is an objective point system for ranking all schools with college teams based on regular season tournament performance during the current bowling season.

The Viking men's and women's teams will start the second half of their season January 13-15 at the Robert Morris Roto Grip Baker Challenge in Addison, IL.
