Fair View Hts. Illinois- The Grand View Women's bowling team finished third out of a field of 18 teams in the National Collegiate Team Match Games this past weekend. The format consisted of six individual games on Saturday and 20 baker games on Sunday on two different and demanding sport patterns. Bonus pins for each win was also added. The weekend was highlighted by Brittney Smith and Rebecca Broerman (JR/Mason City, Iowa) who both earned All-Tournament Team honors.

 

Leading the Vikings in the six individual team games was Smith with a 1256 series for a 209.6 average. Broerman had a 1250 series for a 208.3 average, Sarah Muench bowled a 1164 series for a 194 average, Amanda Duplan (SO/Citrus Heights, California) had a five game series of 910 for a 182 average, Makayla Ericksen (SO/Burnsville, Minnesota) had a  four games of 729 for a 182.2 average, and Hannah Munson (JR/Cottage Grove, Minnesota) bowled a three games series of 511 for a 170.3 average. Team average for the six games was 193.7.

The Viking started in fourth Sunday and finished in third after baker play.  Subbing in on Sunday's baker play was Kayleigh Duff (JR/Des Plaines, Illinois). Grand View had a baker team total of 3904, a team average of 195.2. Total pin fall for the tournament was 9716, for a team average of 194.3.

Next tournament is the Mustang Invitational, Dec. 3 and 4 at Plaza Bowl in Sioux City, IA.
