Fair View Hts., Illinois -The Grand View Men's bowling team competed in the National Collegiate Team Match Games this past weekend, finishsing 6th out of a field of 22 teams. The weekend format consisted of six individual games on Saturday and 20 baker games on Sunday. Bonus points were also added to this format for every win. The bowlers bowled on two very demanding sport patterns.

Leading the Vikings in the six individual team games was Nathan Maciejewski (SR/Dyer, Indiana) with a 1255 series for a 209.1 average, Sam Cantrell (SO/Citrus Heights, California) with a 1252 series for a  208.6 average, Luke Fisher (JR/Altoona, Iowa) with a 1189 series for a  198.1 average, Zach Fries (SR/Davenport, Iowa) with a 1188 series for a 198.0 average. Also contributing, Dacoda Ewalt (JR/Ankeny, Iowa) with a four game series of 735 for a 183.7 average and Ryan Felton (SR/Des Moines, Iowa) with a two game series of 398 for a 199.0 average. The team average for the six games was 200.5. 

 The Vikings started baker play in 10th Sunday morning and with some outstanding baker games they were able to move up to 6th. The men had a baker total of 4032, a 201.5 average. The Vikings also threw the highest four game set of the tournament, 956-  a 239 average.  The men's total pin count for the two days was a 10048 for a 201.1 team average.  

Next tournament is the Mustang Invitational, Dec 3 and 4 at Plaza Bowl in Sioux City, IA.
