Maria Mantilla led the Vikings in the opening tournament of the fall finishing tied for 13th.

The Grand View Vikings women's golf team kicked off their fall season in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Wolfpack Invitational hosted by Cardinal Stritch at Brown Deer Park Golf Course finishing 5th overall as a team.

The Vikings shot a team score of 357 and due to rain this was the only round they'd get in as their second round was cancelled. Host Cardinal Stritch won the event shooting a team score of 316 while Indiana Tech and Madonna University tied for 2nd as they were each seven strokes behind with team scores of 323. Lawrence Tech rounded out the top three just one stroke behind finishing with a team score of 324.

Grand View was led by Maria Mantilla (Bogota, Colombia) as she finished tied for 13th place shooting a nine over par 82 in her lone round. Kimberly Nelson (Malaysia) tied for 23rd with a round of 87 while Emily Wagner (Casey, Iowa) shot a 91 which was good enough for 30th place.

Tessa Swacker (Waterloo, Iowa) and Mackenzie West (Pleasant Hill, Iowa) were right behind Wagner each finishing tied for 31st as they shot rounds of 97.

The Vikings will be back on the course September 10-11th as they play in the Mt. Mercy Invitational in Cedar Rapids.
