The Grand View men's bowling team finished third this past weekend at the Team Match Games in St. Louis, Mo. The men bowled extremely well over the weekend, averaging 203 over 50 games this past weekend. The Vikings also edged out the Lindenwood University (Ill.), the #1 team in the country. 

Freshman Sam Cantrell (Citrus heights, Calif.) made All-Tournament Team, averaging 222.5 over the weekend and was fourth overall in the tough field.

Sophomore Decoda Ewalt (Ankeny, Iowa) and junior Nathan Maciejewski (Dyer, Ind.) also averaged over 200 on Saturday during their individual games.  The men also had strong showings from sophomore Luke Fisher, averaging over 210 plus over three games, and junior Ryan Felton (Des Moines, Iowa), averaging over 190 over 5 games. Junior Zach Fries (Davenport, Iowa) was bowling very strong averaging over 208 over the first three games, however, had to sit out the rest of the games due to the flu.

The Vikings will next travel to Addison, Illinois at the beginning of next semester to compete in the Roto Grip Eagles Baker Challenge on January 9-10.
