The Vikings are again up one spot to No. 6 in this week's NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday.
GV is currently 12-1 and riding a six-game winning streak. The Vikings continue to be among national leaders, ranking in seven categories. Grand View ranks in the top 20 in five of those categories: totals goals (6th-44), total assists (10th-33), goals per game (12th-3.38), assists per game (15th-2.54), and shots per game (20th-19).
Top-ranked Hastings (Neb.) captured all 22 first-place votes and obtained the top billing for the seventh-straight week. The next three teams held their positions: No. 2 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 3 Rio Grande (Ohio) and No. 4 Mobile (Ala.) and Baker (Kan.) moved into the No. 5 spot.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conference/independents/unaffiliated groups. The seventh regular-season Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be announced on Oct. 18.
The Vikings host Iowa Wesleyan on Wednesday at 5 p.m. and Clarke for Senior Day/Alumni Weekend Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. Both are conference contests being held at Cownie Complex.
