The Grand View men's basketball team made its eight straight appearance in the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced Monday. The Vikings moved up one spot and are rated as the No. 16 team in this week's poll.

As a team, Grand View is rated in fourteen stat categories. Among them, scoring defense per game (5^th - 63.23), turnover margin (10^th - 3.46), free throw percentage (10^th - 73.4%), assist/turnover ratio (12^th - 1.15), and field goal percentage defense (14^th - 40.3%).

The Grand View women's basketball team moved up two spots and are ranked as the No. 19 team in this week's NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced Monday.

The Vikings went 2-0 last week in league play with wins over Waldorf and Ashford. The ladies have won seven consecutive games, all in MCC play.

Viking sophomore Tyler Wells (Des Moines, Iowa) has been selected as the Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performances at the Cornell College Hilltop Open last Saturday.

Wells was third in the shot put and weight throw at Cornell, hitting the NAIA ‘B' standard in both events. He posted a best of 15.18 meters in the shot put and 15.92m in the weight throw.

Wells will compete in both events at the NAIA National Track & Field Championships March 4-6 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
